Einstein Charity Week, 9-14 Feb, Supporting The Katja Foundation
Katja House is a charity organisation that cares for underprivileged children from the streets of Kathmandu and the villages of Nepal. Katja House attempts to change the lives of these children by educating and caring for them. Einstein House currently sponsors a six year old boy called Nima Sherpa but also strives to raise additional funds to support renovation works at Katja House.
Events Planned During Einstein Charity Week
Fri 9th Feb Einstein Extravaganza – Sha Tin Wai 3-6pm
Buses will be taking students from Years 9 -11 Einstein to Sha Tin Wai at 1pm and 1.15pm. All students will have lunch at Sha Tin Wai and at 2.00pm will then assist with the set-up of the event.
The main aspects of the evening are:
- A range of entertainment from all years including Year 7 Camp dance
- A short quiz focusing on Katja / Einstein House
- A short presentation about Katja House
- A fund raising bake sale run by Years 7 and 8
Students will then be expected to make their own way home from Sha Tin Wai at 6pm (latest). There will not be school buses running at this time. Parents are welcome to attend the event. There will be some older students guiding junior students to the MTR.
Wed 14th Feb Dress Casual – pink, red and purple.
ALL Einstein students to take part and are requested to donate $20. All money will go directly to the Katja Foundation.
On Tai Wai Year 9 -11 are arranging a bake sale.
Valentine’s delivery will also be taking place on this day. This will go ahead on both sites – 12E overseeing the process with the support of the charity team on Tai Wai. There is still time for the students and staff to place orders using the online order form. Last orders taken on 6th February.
