Dance Team Dedicated Piece To The Florida Shooting
At the annual ESF Dance Celebration, on the 27 April, the Island School team dedicated their piece to the victims and their families of the Florida shooting. The dance celebration was hosted by West Island School and dance groups from both primary and secondary ESF schools performed.
Island School’s 16 dancers, from Years 7-11, performed a hip hop/ contemporary to River by Bishop Briggs. Dancer Natalia Elliott told the audience that the groups dance was dedicated to the victims and the families of the Florida shooting (that happened in February this year) because, “The theme of the performance represented the overall concept of the show, people and cultures”.
