CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE AT ESF CHAIRMAN’S AWARD CEREMONY 2023

Think big, always be kind and face the future with optimism – these were the powerful themes at the heart of the ESF Chairman’s Awards for Excellence this month.

Students and their families came together at ESF Renaissance College for the first ESF Chairman’s Awards live ceremony since 2019. The Chairman’s Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of graduates in: leadership, community service, spirit and values of their school, sport, creativity, and academic excellence.

Esteemed guests, ESF Chairman, Dr. Kim Mak, ESF CEO, Belinda Greer, Hannah Wilson alumna and Ady Lam, Class of 2023 addressed the guests at the ceremony. Hannah, now a PE teacher is a former Olympic Swimmer. She talked about the support that Island School gave her to achieve her dreams. Support from teachers who gave her extra tuition when needed and support from her Head of House and friends who gave her the strength to push forward.
Ady Lam, who achieved excellent IB results this year, delivered the closing remarks. She explained how that being part of the Island School community has given her the confidence to face the future and try new things.

Students from different ESF secondary schools were interviewed on camera. Fiorelli Wong, Class of 2023 (who also achieved excellent IB results this year) talked about being an optimist and a global citizen. Well done to everyone who attended the Chairman’s Awards.
