Island School Marketplace

The Year 7 and 8 students from ‘The StartUp’ and Year 9 and 10 students from ‘Run your own business’ Elements came together to showcase their marketing talents, creativity and collaboration skills at the ‘Island School Market Place’ on December 11th. The ‘StartUp’ students collaborated to plan, prepare, and market their games stalls. Students had to use their critical thinking and resourcing to create their games from recycled or donated materials. Additionally, students from the Run Your Own Business program in Years 9 and 10 were also on hand, displaying their entrepreneurial skills and creativity by selling their own unique products. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to gain real-world experience in running a small business. The marketplace was a real celebration of the students learning this semester and it was great to see their entrepreneurial spirit on full display.
