IS Alumni Reunion in New York

Over the summer break, Ms Rimma Tyan (HE Coordinator) organised an informal gathering in the city for a number of IS alumni living in New York. The event brought together former school mates who had gone their separate ways after graduation, providing them a chance to reconnect and reminisce.

Graduates from the class of 1998 all the way up to the class of 2020 attended the Island School alumni reunion event. Throughout the reunion, the attendees shared wonderful recollections of their time at the school, reminiscing about everything from fond memories of the campus cafeteria and favourite lunch menu items, their daily bus commutes, beloved teachers, extracurricular adventures, and cherished classroom experiences.

It was clear that the “Island School spirit” had not been forgotten, as the alumni expressed their eagerness to stay connected with the current school activities taking place back in Hong Kong and send their warmest wishes to the current student body.

Ms. Rimma Tyan, the event organiser, commented, “This was truly a remarkable occasion, a chance for Islanders of all generations to reunite, reminisce, and reignite the passion that first drew them to Island School. We hope to organise more alumni gatherings to ensure that the Island School legacy is not forgotten.”
