Food Carton Inter-House Results
About the Food Carton Inter-House Competition
The Food Carton Inter-House Competition was recently held at Island School, and it has been a massive success. After a countup last week, WANBO is glad too announce that we were able to collect 1,873 thousand food cartons. Thank you to everyone for contributing and making this inter house such a massive success!
The Inter-house required students to bring in their used food cartons to be recycled, and the house that brought in the most cartons was declared the winner. This competition was a fun and engaging way to promote recycling and sustainability among Island School students!

And now the moment we have all been waiting for, the results of the competition! The results for the 2023 Food Carton Inter-House Competition are as follows:

Congratulations to all the houses for their hard work and dedication to the competition. It was great to see so many students participating and helping to promote sustainability at Island School.
The Significance:
The Food Carton Inter-House Competition serves as a reminder of the importance of recycling and taking care of our environment – by working collectively as a group, we can make a positive impact in Island School and in the wider community of Hong Kong as well.
Chloe Leung, a member of WANBO commented “The event was nothing short of amazing! It was inspiring seeing how many cartons were donated each day, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget how many times I had to bring huge stacks of cartons down to the carpark”
One of our newest members Hazel Cheung from 9W said “As the inter-house tetrapak competition comes to an end, it’s truly amazing how much each house truly puts effort into talking about such an important issue in the modern world.”
Nicholas Tsang, a student from 10E commented “It was simply inspiring. Being able to contribute to this cause is simply impactful.”
All in all, the Food Carton Inter-House Competition was a resounding success, and we hope to see more students taking part in similar initiatives in the future. Once again, congratulations to Einstein for their win!
Let’s continue to be responsible and environmentally conscious citizens, and keep up the great work in promoting sustainability at Island School!
