Year 9 History- Industry and Innovation Showcase

Year 9 Historians have been displaying project work for the recent Industry and Innovation Unit this week. The project aims to highlight the social and economic changes that took place during the Industrial revolution in Japan, Germany and the USA. The statement of Inquiry for this project was “Innovation in science and technology can lead to revolutionary changes in the ways we live and work”.

Following development of source interpretation skills, the students were engaged in designing and visualising their ideas in a range of museum exhibits. Head of I and S Faculty M McPhee noted that “Students found the task enjoyable as they were able to demonstrate considerable creativity and imagination in producing their exhibits”.
