Science Lesson with Tin Ka Ping School Students
Island School Science Department was delighted to host students from The Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School during the annual STEAM Week on 11 June, 2021.
The visiting students joined Year 7 Fleming students during their Science lesson and were enthusiastic to collaborate together during a practical lesson on producing and testing for gases such as oxygen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide.
“It was a great opportunity for the Science department to be involved in community outreach projects. It was wonderful to see the students from the Tin Ka Ping School experienced first-hand the excitement of conducting work in the laboratory, and they interacted so naturally with Island School students.”, commented Lorraine Harte Teacher of Chemistry.
