Superb Feedback from Pop-up Restaurant
To a full house the Year 13 BTEC Hospitality students opened their pop-up restaurant ‘Niam’ on the 24 April 2018. The restaurant evening was part of their final unit in which they are required to plan, organise and run a catered event. They decided to open an East meets West fusion restaurant. The menu incorporated European styles with local Asian ingredients. There was a total of 63 paying guests at the evening.
The Year 12 Hospitality students were the waiting staff for the event, which counts towards their Customer Service unit.
Head of Food Technology and Hospitality Mr. Lord said, “The feedback from the guests was superb!”
“All the students should be extremely proud of themselves for pulling off such a high quality fine dining event. Many thanks to everyone who came and supported the event, it was great to have so many people there.”
