How will you maintain teaching standards in the transition?
ESF have been, and continue to be very supportive of the staff at Island School. We are currently delivering a timetable that is ready for the move at Christmas and the majority of teachers are based on one site. ESF have provided extra funding for teacher resources allowing promotions for staff to ensure that standards remain high – for example all heads of house have become senior heads of house during the time away from Borrett Road. This planning has ensured that once again Island School had a very low turnover of staff this year.
