Aayush Batwara, who went to Nepal said: “It was incredibly challenging trekking higher each day, battling the cold and avoiding altitude sickness. But each night was rewarding as the spectacular views got better each day.”

Bakhita Fung, went to Baiwan to teach in schools and learned a lot from the children. She said: “The way that they appreciate all the little things really opened my eyes to a different world. I enjoyed teaching them simple English songs like ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’. Seeing them so engaged in the music made me really happy, and made the effort worthwhile.”

Daanyal, went to Oman: “I really liked the trip because it was very different than many of the other Quest Weeks. As part of the trip we traveled around northern Oman and the UAE and experienced life as a proper traveler, exploring more local areas and not staying in a place for more than a night at a time. I liked the fact that we were exposed to fun, adventurous activities as well as cultural aspects of the countries. My favorite part of the trip was the Dhow fishing boat cruise, as it was a beautiful trip and the scenery and tranquility was something that you could never find in Hong Kong or anywhere else in the world.”

Suji Kum Year 10 went horse riding and learnt how to train them: “It was a privilege getting trained professionally for a week and I was excited to be able to trot my horse. Solving crosswords on the bus every morning with Mr Scott was also very entertaining!”
