Art Technician ( Term time contract) closing date 19 Oct 2018

Responsibilities

Please note that this is a non- teaching position.

To support the smooth running of the Art Department.
The candidate will work as part of a small team, be hard- working and able to work flexibly and on own initiative.
Cantonese/Mandarin speaker is welcome together with a reasonable command of English.
Candidates should have a genuine interest in Art. Experience of working in an educational setting would also be an asset.
To assist the department, and art students as required.

Duties
Liaise with Subject Leader – Art

Preparation of Teaching Materials:
Setting up resources
Photocopying and laminating teacher resources
Help with the organization and mounting of exhibitions.

Maintenance of machines and tools:
Monitor materials and equipment
Order and replenish stock
Document and file away all orders and invoices

Requirements

– Cantonese/Mandarin speaker with a good command of spoken/written English is essential.
– Word processing and typing skills
– Good understanding of databases
– Qualifications required: Form 5 or above

IT Skills:
Word processing skills
Good understanding of database

Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
