Young Post Quotes Student Coordinators of 24 Hour Charity Race
In an South China Morning Post – Young Post report on the ‘2016 Hong Kong 24 Hour Race’ event coordinators and Island School students talk about the races’ challenges and successes.
The charity event organized by students raised HK$1.3 million last year. Seventeen year old Jenny Kang took on the role of Executive Director she is quoted as saying: “Planning every single detail [of an event on this scale] is hard. We had contingency plans [in place] but it’s impossible to anticipate every situation.” She goes on to talk about the initiative that the coordinators showed on the day.
Another Island School student and the races’ PR Manager, Chirag Bellani, talks about the youth aspect being a crucial part of the 24 Hour Race brand.
