Year 10 Coffee Morning

Dear Parents

The Year 10 Coffee Morning will be held on Wednesday 22nd February 2017 at 2/F Function Room, Bishop Lei International House, 4 Robinson Road, Midlevels from 08.30am until approximately 10.30am.

Trudy Lant and Philipa Peters will speak about revision for the upcoming exams, important decisions on next Options and the way forward in Year 11.  There will also be an opportunity for questions.  We encourage as many parents as possible to attend. (more…)

Bring in your Baked Goods – Island Five-O


Bring in your baked goods



As part of the International Food Hall at the Island Five-0 Arts Festival, the PTA will have a baked goods stall.  We need – Christmas or 50th anniversary themed cakes, cookies, cupcakes, desserts, brownies, custard tarts, tray bakes, banana loaves, pound cakes and any other treats…….

Please bring your baked goods donations to the PTA office either during the day on Friday 2nd December or to the Main Hall on Saturday 3rd December for Island Five-0.

School Bus Application and PTA Membership

Dear Parents

The school bus application and PTA membership forms were posted to all families on Monday 30th May.  As some of the bus routes have changed/merged for 2016-2017 please check the route, stop and pick up times carefully.  The going home bus schedule is for information only. It is not possible to select different am and pm routes, except for the #10A.

Completed applications, cheques, photographs and self-addressed envelopes should be submitted to the PTA office as soon as possible.  Applications posted after 20th June will incur a mandatory late fee of $350.

The PTA office will close on Friday 15 July, bus passes will be posted during the week 11-15 July.

PTA Charity Raffle


Dear Parents

Raffle tickets have been distributed to students for the upcoming Charity Raffle Draw, which is the PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year.  Half of the money raised goes directly to the school.  Last year, the PTA was able to give over $550,000 for much needed equipment, including netball posts and machines for the cardio suite, a writing workshop for the English department, water baths and a TV for the Science department, cutlery & crockery for Food Tech, as well as financial support for the HE dept, Year 13 graduation, senior & junior prize giving assembly, Imaginings magazine and ISSU.

The rest of the money raised goes to the Nicola Myers & Kenneth McBride Memorial Fund, which last year granted scholarships to 93 local students from across Hong Kong schools who would otherwise be unable to continue their sixth-form education.

Please return all purchased stubs, with payment, and any unsold tickets to the PTA or General Office by 16th March 2016

Additional tickets are available from the PTA office.

Whilst you are under no obligation to purchase raffle tickets, ALL Unsold Raffle Tickets must be returned.

Year 13 Coffee Morning

Dear Parents

The Year 13 Coffee Morning will be held on Thursday, 10th March at the Helena May, 35 Garden Road, Central, 08.30-10.30.

Selected staff from Island School will speak about issues which involve this year group.  There will be an opportunity for questions afterwards.  We encourage as many parents as possible to attend.

In order to get an estimate of attendance figures, please e-mail the PTA Manager, should you wish to attend.  No regrets are necessary, however should you find yourself able to attend, please come along as you will be most welcome.

Please note that a fee of $50 is charged for refreshments, payable on the day.

There is no parking at the Helena May, but there are two drop off points for taxis at St. John’s Building (Peak Tram station) and St. Joseph’s Church.
