Events including the Nanen Biathlon and Nansen Christmas Delivery were a great success. This year, the biathlon expanded to include representatives from each House. Runners and swimmers, mostly in pairs, became extremely competitive and achieved record times! A big thank you must go to all the other houses who participated! The Nansen Christmas Delivery, run by the new Nansen Senior Prefects, got the whole school into a joyful Christmas spirit. Deliveries included roses, chocolates, candy canes and cards. But perhaps the most entertaining gift of them all were live Christmas songs, performed by Year 12 Nansen students! Overall, over $34,000 was presented to the Baiwan Charity.

Nansen showed great support for the WANBO initiated Green Week. Each tutor group made home-baked goods to sell in an ocean blue themed bake sale. With an impressive spread of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and even blue lemonade, the bake sale proved to be extremely popular. The lunch time event raised an incredible $3,200 for WANBO. WANBO will mainly use this money to help maintain the school water fountains.

Senior Head of House Pippa Peters said; “All of these events were put together by dedicated Nansen students who put in a lot of time and effort. Their commitment to raising money and awareness for both Baiwan and Green Week is impressive.”
