Model United Nations in Shanghai

At the International Model United Nations conference at Concordia International School Shanghai 20 Island School students examined the theme of ‘The Information Revolution’ from 14-17 Jan 2016. Students represented Israel and the Democratic Republic of Congo across 9 committees, including the Human Rights Commission and Disarmament Commission.
5 students applied for non-delegate positions: Steven Green was a lawyer at the International Criminal Court, Rafael Pang was Security Council President, and at the International Courts of Justice Lucius Hatherly was a judge and Andrea Chin & Jonathan Fan were advocates for the Marshall Islands.
History Teacher Rhian Thomas said; “All students performed extremely well at the conference, having spent months preparing detailed research on their country’s stance on global issues.”
