Island School Primero at ESF Inter-Schools Spanish Speaking Competition!

Island School has won the ESF Inter-school Spanish Speaking Competition

Students recited poems and literature in five categories in the competition, achieving the following awards:

Noa Horowitz 12D – 1st place – Senior Competition
Nicole Khaimson 8E – 2nd place – Junior Competition
Miyu Terashima 10N and Jisoo Myung 10N – 3rd place – Pairs Competition
Kabir Bubna 12F, Darcy Horne 12F and Robyn Morgan 12W – 2nd place – Group Competition
Chiara Dadamo 10W – 1st place – Individual Competition

In addition Gemma Kwok 12D and Gwennie Tan 12R interpreted ‘Me Voy’ by Mexican songstress Julieta Venegas to resounding applause as part of the entertainment section of the competition.

West Island School and King George Fifth achieved joint second place at the competition held at Discovery College in Discovery Bay.
