Battle of the Books team wins semi-final

In a head to head competition were one wrong name can mean the difference between winning and losing, Island School’s Battle of the Books team achieved the highest score on 5 May 2016.

At the inter-school semi-final held at Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School the Island School team of book lovers got the highest score but with other schools holding semi-final competitions, the team had to wait over-night to hear if their score was good enough to make the final and it is! They are one of five teams to make it to the final held on the 18 May 2016.

The team had to read twenty books – at the semi-final they are challenged to remember which specific event matches with which book, stating the title and the author for a full two points.
