FuturED #3 16 June 2016

Island School is proud to announce the upcoming “FuturED #3”Conference, to be held on Thursday 16th June 2016, from 1.00 – 3.00pm at Island School.

This event will feature some of the sharpest thinkers in the region sharing their thoughts and reflections about our shared local and global future through both individual speeches and a forum debate. The theme of this conference is “Sustainability Hong Kong”.

The speakers:
Christine Loh OBE Undersecretary for the Environment for the Hong Kong Government
Paul Clarke, Professor of Education at St Mary’s University in London, talking about the role of education in attaining a sustainable future for everyone.
Doug Woodring, Director/Co-Founder Ocean Recovery Alliance talking about the effect of single use plastic products on our oceans.
Andrew Work, Editor-in-chief of the Harbour Times talking about sustainability and Hong Kong politics.

Following the presentations from the speakers there will be an official screening of the documentary ‘Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret’ which explores the effect of animal agriculture on climate change. This controversial film will be followed by an open panel debate with our guest speakers.
